Disappointed

I had a very disappointing experience with this real estate attorney. Throughout the transaction, they were extremely difficult to work with and consistently came across as rude and unprofessional. Rather than helping facilitate a smooth closing, communication was often dismissive and unnecessarily... confrontational. What was especially disappointing is that the behavior didn’t stop after closing. They were also rude to our insurance broker while trying to resolve a post-closing matter, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. I understand an attorney’s job is to advocate for their client, but professionalism and basic courtesy should never be optional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with this attorney.

This review is posted anonymously. If it were a credible review the complainer would be open about it. This is not a client of this office, but is someone pretending to be a client. Our clients were appreciative of the representation we provided. This review concerns a real estate transaction and considering the timing of the review and the comments made we can identify which transaction it addresses. Of course, there were several people involved, including the real estate agents, the title company personnel and the principals themselves. It was somewhat contentious with people pulling in different directions. We represented our clients’ interest and insisted matters be handled per the Contract and the customs of real estate transactions. This caused some parties to be taken out of their comfort zone, causing this individual to lash-out and post negative comments.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
