Ms. Hisel worked for nearly 4 years with the University of Texas at Dallas as an HR professional. This experience helped hone Ms. Hisel's school law practice, which includes advising educational institutions on business issues (bidding and contracts), constitutional issues (free speech, religion in schools), educational issues (student discipline, school board governance), employment issues (contracts, grievances), and public policy issues (election law, open government and public information).

As a certified WBE (Women Business Enterprise), The Hisel Law Firm understands the issues facing start-up and emerging companies. The firm has expertise in working with SBA 8(a) Contractors and small business enterprises, as well as large global companies.
