Just completed a mediation process with Heather Tessmer and her team. What an incredible experience. While results can't be guaranteed, ours were phenomenal. What was truly astounding was how Ms. Tessmer predicted ever step of the process. She predicted what the other side would proffer and what ...our eventual result would be. I hope I never have to go through such an experience again, but if I do, I want Ms. Tessmer and her team sitting by me. They almost made it fun.

The Tessmer Law Firm represented me in my divorce two years ago. This was a divorce with no children, no community estate, no real estate, and no trial (only an IRA and 3 months of temporary orders solved through mediation). Over the course of the my representation, the law firm charged me $10,909.94.... When I contacted the firm detailing my concerns over their billing, I was told that $6241.25 had already been discounted from my bill, and all was "fair and reasonable." In response, I contacted several other attorneys, and was advised that these fees were unconscionable. My divorce was not complicated, there were no extenuating circumstances, and all dispute was resolved at a mediation. Yet, two years later I am still paying for it. I would not recommend the Tessmer law firm. Divorce is a difficult time, and no person deserves the added burden of debt. I hired Tessmer Law Firm this year to handle my divorce after having a bad experience with another local attorney. I was very impressed by the entire legal team from beginning to end...all calls, emails were returned in a timely manner and I never doubted that my case was being handled professionall...y. Heather helped settle my divorce in mediation, sparing me the expense and stress of court and she was the "rock" I needed in such a terrible time. I would highly recommend Heather Tessmer and her legal team to anyone who is in need of strong legal representation in any matter.

I hired Ms. Tessmer to handle my divorce. I dealt entirely with her paralegal after my initial consultation with Ms. Tessmer. For the amount I was paying I feel like I should have been able to speak with the attorney. I wasn't kept informed. The next time I met with Ms. Tessmer was the day of med...iation. I ended up paying my ex more in the settlement. I can't recommend.
