Rahul Balkrishna Patel

As Managing Partner of the firm, Rahul is responsible for developing, managing, and shaping the firm's business and client development strategies. In addition to his role with the firm, he serves as a passionate, aggressive, advocate and counselor for his clients.

Rahul focuses his practice on commercial real estate, property tax appeals, and general litigation.  Rahul has assisted numerous clients in navigating the difficult landscape of commercial real estate.  His experience as a business owner and with over twelve years in the lodging industry, provides him direct insight into client needs when it comes to commercial transactions.

Rahul has extensive experience in property tax litigation and appeals. He has represented over $1B in real estate as it relates to assessments, appeals, and tax exemptions.  Currently, Rahul has assisted over 200 limited service hotels and currently assists one of the nations largest property tax consulting groups in property tax litigation and valuation issues.  He has a detailed understanding of the appraisal methods - cost, income, sales - that the district use to value clients' real property.  With an aggressive approach, Rahul works hard to achieve property tax reductions for his clients.

Prior to co-founding the firm, he was heavily involved in Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) litigation in South Texas for some of the states largest non-profit housing organizations. He served aggressively to protect affordable housing rights for south Texas residents.

Rahul brings his unique and aggressive vision to client representation. He focuses on simple, fast, and deliberate litigation, always focused on results.
