Amy Mayo McLin

 

I graduated from Baylor University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Financial Services & Planning and International Business. In December 1997, I received my J.D. from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. I am licensed to practice in Texas and the Federal Courts for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.

 

My law practice has an emphasis on the representation of condominium and homeowners' associations in general legal matters, assessment collection, and covenant enforcement actions.  During several sessions of the Texas Legislature, I provided testimony in front of various Texas House of Representative and Senate Committees regarding bills related to the operation, management, and authority of homeowners associations.

 

Professionally, I am a member of:

• State Bar of Texas (member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section and past member of the Property Owners’ Association subcommittee),
• American Bar Association (member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section and General Practice, Solo, and Small Firm Section),
• San Antonio Bar Association (member of Real Estate and Technology Sections and past editor for the San Antonio Lawyer),
• Community Associations Institute – a trade organization which specializes in education and issues relating to community associations and master planned communities (past President and past Education Chairman for the San Antonio Chapter of the Community Association Institute), and
• the City of Castle Hills Master Plan Committee.

I have been a speaker for many Community Association Institute educational programs and for Lorman Educational Services regarding various association related topics. Additionally, I am involved with volunteer work and fundraising for various causes in the community. My husband of 16 years and I  three school aged children. I am passionate about cooking, nutrition, Smart Barre classes, gardening, and travel.
