As the case went through it’s normal process, it became very clear the more we worked with Mr. Bernstein we were in really good hands. We had to arrange a spur of the moment meeting that Mr. Bernstein was not able to attend. His son Brandt Bernstein who is another atty at the firm, met us and was very familiar with our case as we discussed our concerns and appeared just as knowledgeable and clear while communicating with us. I called Jeff after hearing most police/firefighters exclusively retain his services and most settle for more than they thought was possible. I hired Jeff after our first meeting after I realized his major concern was my kids and framing the case around what I wanted. Sure he would stop me when I m...ade poor decisions, but in the end he not only won my case but also assisted in a brilliant chess game strategy which forced the opposing counsel, a "top" and board certified lawyer, to withdraw. All the while he was ethical and fighting against an unethical counsel, especially in terms of charging clients! One word on his personality, everyone in the court house seemed to love and know him whether authentic or not. I don't see many lawyers making a point to talk to each other or any who 'really' know the judges. In the end I found that the ones that were reviewing him were actually his client's ex-spouses, and that speaks volumes to me. You will also find some reviews which are more like comments to previous reviews, and can tell there is an attempt to hurt the lawyer that beat them in court. Keep in mind that most sites do not censor their reviews (like Amazon fails to do) so people can anonymously get away with slander. This site has a clause that "reviews containing unsupported accusations will not be approved". He will always be on retainer if there are any additional issues from this divorce.
