I hired Tina after interviewing 10 other attorneys for a complex custody case transferred from another state. My custody case was an almost 2-year affair as a result of my difficult ex, complicated story and other factors. What I appreciated most about Tina was her awesome ability to communicate and ...respond to all of my emails efficiently (most of the time within 24 hours, if not immediately). Her paralegal was also just as responsive. I have to admit, I did not always like what she had to tell me, but she was always honest with me about the potential outcome of what I was asking for, the why's, the how's and how to handle an issue best without false promises. In the end, she was able to show to the Judge (during a final trial with testimony) effectively that I should be the parent with more parenting time and many other things that ultimately worked out in the best interest of my child (and myself). If you have to go to Trial or your issues become complex, Tina will coach you, explain the law to you and show you how you are right (or wrong) and what to expect potentially as an outcome. She will never leave you hanging, not explain something or just disappear (like some attorneys). The only negative experience I had was not with her, was with her law firm (Zinda...). When my expenses started to increase close to 20K, the firm completely refused to work with me on a payment plan and outwardly demanded a full cash payment otherwise I would not be represented by them until I could come up with a full payment. Perhaps their previous clients refused to pay, but I did not understand at all why a legally verified, mutually agreed upon payment plan was not possible for such a huge firm. This delayed my case for a bit as well because I had to save to make the payment. Tina is a great attorney who will do her best to advocate for you and your child.

Tina was contacted 2 days before a trial date for a change in counsel due to grave negligence on the part of prior counsel in a child custody case. She jumped in with both feet and gathered as much information as possible to help a single father who was being unjustly deemed a determine to his child...ren simply based on his sexuality. She is level-headed, but strong willed. She was a blessing to this case and I truly believe without her, our family would be torn to pieces for a very long time. There is much work left to do and I am confident in her ability to get it done! She is eager, professional, kind, comforting, upfront, and honest.

Needing a lawyer for a family case has been one of the most stressful and tormenting events of my life, and I think that I could speak for my wife as well. However, hiring Tina was the best decision my wife and I made. We were in a case to gain primary conservatorship of my wife's daughter with no ge...ographic restrictions. First off, Tina was very straight forward in letting us know that our case would be hard to win. Yet, it was important that she believed in us and took our case a lot deeper than the surface portrayed, maintaining memory of intricate details within our case over the year that it took. Secondly, Tina was more accessible in communicating with than we had expected. She was very good at returning phone calls and email. We were very needy, but we were willing to pay for the constant updates to feel comforted and to aid our preparation. This made a huge difference as we were more prepared than the other party. Tina gave us a lot of assignments to work out ourselves. I'm not sure if this is typical, but it allowed us to be involved, realize important factors that won our case, and allowed great preparation for testimonies by enabling our conceptualization of the case. There was one instance that my wife and I were not happy with Tina. In hindsight, I am very glad that we kept faith in her, as I see now that we were very emotional in this process and I would like to forewarn all future clients of hers that things go best when you have faith in your team. Lastly, Tina was no amateur in the courtroom. Tina was aware of how the trial was going and revamped our stategy on the spot to ensure that we maintained an advantage in the courtroom. This was the perfect call and we won our case. Good decisions are imperative in these situations. I would choose Tina Torres again.
