I have often been accused of being "over-protective" of my children, and even being referred to as a "helicopter mom", so the thought of losing custody of my son never even crossed my mind. That is, until the attorney general's office increased the non-custodial parent's child support, and he decide...d to file suit against me for custody, in retaliation. I hired Tina after interviewing 10 other attorneys for a complex custody case transferred from another state. My custody case was an almost 2-year affair as a result of my difficult ex, complicated story and other factors. What I appreciated most about Tina was her awesome ability to communicate and ...respond to all of my emails efficiently (most of the time within 24 hours, if not immediately). Her paralegal was also just as responsive. I have to admit, I did not always like what she had to tell me, but she was always honest with me about the potential outcome of what I was asking for, the why's, the how's and how to handle an issue best without false promises. In the end, she was able to show to the Judge (during a final trial with testimony) effectively that I should be the parent with more parenting time and many other things that ultimately worked out in the best interest of my child (and myself). If you have to go to Trial or your issues become complex, Tina will coach you, explain the law to you and show you how you are right (or wrong) and what to expect potentially as an outcome. She will never leave you hanging, not explain something or just disappear (like some attorneys). The only negative experience I had was not with her, was with her law firm (Zinda...). When my expenses started to increase close to 20K, the firm completely refused to work with me on a payment plan and outwardly demanded a full cash payment otherwise I would not be represented by them until I could come up with a full payment. Perhaps their previous clients refused to pay, but I did not understand at all why a legally verified, mutually agreed upon payment plan was not possible for such a huge firm. This delayed my case for a bit as well because I had to save to make the payment. Tina is a great attorney who will do her best to advocate for you and your child.

I retained her services paying a large retainer to complete a divorce. She failed to obtain needed documents on my case, continually sending me email responses attempting to justify her position but never taking action. She made grand promises in the beginning which turned into excuses. Then 3 weeks ...before the deadline for the needed documents she withdrew from the case. Her firm did not take any steps to resolve either. She and her firm have neglected my case and handled it with bad faith.
