RUN! He's a thief too

RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN! I am speaking from experience with this youngster. You will get what you pay for and YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. He is a child. He doesn't know how to speak professionally to his clients. He has tantrums when things don't go his way in court. He runs when he sees a stronger attorne...y in court. He isn't qualified unless it's pushing papers around. He doesn't have a back bone. He will easily sign up for the job and take your $$$ as a retainer. But when it comes to the work, he runs, hides behind the ladies in the office. When asked to step down as my attorney and requested my balance- HE WROTE UP A FAKE INVOICE TO CHARGE FOR CALLS/ SERVICES HE NEVER PERFORMED. HE USED EVERY LAST PENNY TO WITHDRAW HIMSELF FROM MY CASE. Please listen when I say you and your family deserve better. It difficult enough to have to pay to go to court and what makes it's worse is you child attorney runs and hides too. Find a quality attorney. Keep looking. RUN!! I'd give 0 starts if I could

He is open and honest, gets straight to the point!

I hired Mr. George Ruiz in May of 2018 when I needed help to get sole custody of my son. I remember walking into his office for a free consultation and he explained in much detail the process of what it would take to get things done. He was open and honest, straight to the point, not thinking twice, ...I payed in full his retainer fee. In July 2018 we went to court and had everything finalized, less then 3 months, he made everything happen. All through out the process, his staff always updated me and even at times texted me during non-business hours. I am very satisfied with his legal services & I highly recommend him!

Horrible experience !! STAY AWAY!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I hired this attorney on September 2018 based on this impeccable 5.0 reviews alone. All I wanted was him to file a simple child custody because my daughter hand wrote a letter to me explaining to me why she wanted to come live with me due to her mother not t...reating her right. Ruiz could’ve striked preemptively against my ex and didn’t do so. I called and called non stop wondering when this court date was going down. It never happened. About 2 months later, I received a letter in the mail ( I actually had a smile on my face because I thought it was George Ruiz letting me know something good). Instead it was an outstanding balance (I was dumbfounded for a few minutes that there was a bill send to me for $1500 when I gave him a $2500 retainer fee). Especially when nothing has been done at that point. I called them immediately and they had me on hold for 10 minutes, just to tell me it was a mistake on their end. Ha! A month later, finally George Ruiz calls and talks to me over the phone to get ready to go to court the next morning. I was happy and ready to go, I even bought dress clothes to look presentable in court (as I don’t like to dress up). The next morning, 30 minutes before I was about to take walk to the court house (I live 2 blocks away). He’s send me a text saying that he has to postponed because he pulled something in his back. What the heck? I’m a 100 % disabled 5 time combat veteran with so many physical impairments and I would never make an excuse if my life depended on helping someone out with getting custody of their kid(s). In conclusion, it’s April 11, 2019, and I called yesterday to find out what the status is on my daughter. 7 months later and excuses have not stopped. All I was told is that the opposed counsel is recommending “blah blah blah”. I couldn’t believe this lawyer is even considering what the opposing party wants. I already had visitation rights. I already had family around during my visits with my daughter because she’s close to my mother. I haven’t seen my daughter since August of 2018, it’s sad how many police reports I filed knowing my lawyer didn’t get crap done, but somehow he’s able to post on Facebook that he’s at Spurs games having a jolly time. I called the State Bar of Texas so I can complain and show them their mess ups (canceling court dates, untrue invoices). Today, I have fired this attorney, asked for a receipt, and will file a grievance. Do not hire this attorney whatsoever. I have a personal google account to place reviews, but I’m so EMBARRASSED for other people that follow my reviews seeing this one. Therefore I had to create another account.

Chris, we did not lose your case at any fault of mine. Your case was lost based upon the evidence that was mounted against us and the interview with the children's coordinator. I am terribly sorry that your case did not go the way you or I intend for it to go. I want to let you and everyone reading your review know that just because a child indicates they want to live with you does not mean we automatically win. There are many details surrounding the loss of your case. I believe myself to be a great attorney an advocate for my clients. Should you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact my office. Regards, Attorney George Ruiz

Extraordinary doesn't even touch the surface of George, Candy and the rest of their team.

Not ONLY did they handle my Custody Case with diligence and never skipping a beat, most importantly they placed my daughter and her well being 1st and foremost. They took the time to answer any and all questions even past office hours. They guided, reassured me and fought for the fairness of a mother... and her daughter. I would recommend George and his team to anyone looking for a just and fair lawyer not looking to take your money. They have compassion and their characters hold true to the moral compass any loving fighting fairness parent would want. No words can express my gratitude. Thank you George & Candy you are the PERFECT team.
