Biography
Michelle M. Kostun advocates for clients and their families in divorce proceedings and child support and child custody cases, with emphasis on high conflict situations and complex and high value property and estates. Michelle is experienced in all aspects of the judicial process including informal negotiation, mediation, and litigation at hearings and trials. Michelle's appellate experience includes cases before both the Texas Third Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.
Before she started her own practice more than 10 years ago, Michelle represented Fortune 100 companies in corporate matters in New York and London, and then moved into high stakes business litigation at boutique firms in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Dallas, Texas. Wanting to connect with clients on a more personal level, and to make a difference for individuals rather than big companies, Michelle left corporate practice behind and opened her own firm. Now, she works daily to protect families and guide them through some of the most difficult times they will encounter.
In addition to representing her own clients, Michelle provides Consulting Expert Services to other family law attorneys with an emphasis in witness preparation and cross-examination.

Great attorney for custody cases
I had a really good experience with Michelle. My case involved a claim of marriage, protection of my assets and two children. Michelle was able to prove that there was no marriage and I now have full custody of both of my children. She was very thorough and the results were better than expected.
