Amazing

Mr. Monnig is amazing. He told me everything up front and took care of me and my children through the entire divorce. He always had my best interest at heart and he really cared about my case. He is kind and gentle and his staff is amazing too. Jane and Mimi work extremely hard on all the cases and w...e're always available to take my calls. They always kept me up to date every step of the way. I trusted him 100% with my case and never doubted him I would recommend Mr. Monnig 100% for anyone who need an excellent lawyer.

Best of the best

For those that claim Mr Monnig is not a good attorney they are simply uninformed about law and procedures. For a guy to win a case you need a decent amount a verifiable ammunition. He can't work miracles. In 1994 He was dedicated to my case for over a 2 year period and he knew I could hardly afford h...im. Although he constantly hit me for more money, he assured me if I couldn't pay him, he'd fight to the end for me. Monnig can be aggressive with judges and doesn't curl up and back down. He also insists to fighting clean and that used to upset me because I was under vicious attracts but he knew better. In the end, we won a difficult case in a two week long trial. We won big. And he gave my a HUGE break on what would have been a devastating fee. He's the best, make no mistake. M Garcia, Fort Collins, CO

The best attorney EVER

I had to fire my first attorney and I am so glad I found James Monnig. James has been my attorney for over 3 years. I went through some of the hardest times of my life with this attorney and he was always there to fight HARD in court for me. He always told me everything that was going on. Whatever ...he sent to the other attorney, I also got. Before court dates we always met and he knew everything in detail as to what my case was about. I never got a surprised bill from him. He is honest and trustworthy. With my first attorney, I watched my life unfold in front of me and could do nothing about it. With James, I sat there and was not scared because he was fighting my case and he did it well. I will only use him for an attorney in San Antonio.

Very expensive and not worth it.

Strangely enough, even though Mr. Monnig has had many years of experience in the field of Family Law, he didn't relay a lot of information to me. I believe that as a client, I have the right to have my questions and concerns answered. Having to wait for 6 weeks for a response is just not acceptable. ...Also, taking on a client means that your attorney will be on your side and support your wishes. I never felt that Mr. Monnig cared about me, my family, or my case. He was recommended to me by someone. I trusted that person's opinion without researching him. I now wish I had. All in all, if you're looking for someone who will be responsive, courteous, transparent, and on your corner cheering for you, I cannot recommend Mr. Monnig. Unfortunately, an expensive lawyer isn't always the best lawyer.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Jim Monnig is simply the best family law attorney in San Antonio and Bexar County, and one of the best in all of Texas. He is one of the best trial attorneys I have seen, and is very quick on his feet. He advocates fiercely for his clients, works well with opposing lawyers, and gets exceptional results. If I ever have a family law matter in Bexar County, I will run to retain Jim."
