Poor attorney choice

I unfortunately hired Frances as an attorney back in 2011. Initially, it looked promising. I was told that my initial divorce requests were reasonable and was very disappointed in the outcome. I understand that negotiation is key in divorce cases, but negotiation was not in my favor due to this attor...ney. I felt pressured into making some of the decisions I regret making due to her advice to this very day. Her assistant is unkind and unprofessional, and I did most of the investigating in this case myself. I agree with all of the other reviews on here. Any referrals made for this attorney are questionable. Communication is nonexistent and any texts or emails sent are charged at a high rate. Since then, I have discovered that there are other attorneys out there that actually care about their clients and their situations...who do not charge for every communication sent. Do yourself a favor and avoid this attorney. You will be saving time, money, and frustration.

Bad experience...

I hired Frances Dunham months ago, but to this day, her lack of communication skills and poor support still greatly disturb me. My initial consultation led me to believe that I had hired the right counselor for the situation. She informed me that she was all about building a trusting relationship w...ith her clients, but after that first visit, it was as if there was a bait and switch with attorneys. Phone calls and emails were ignored, messages got crossed and twisted, and everything quickly went downhill from there…I felt like a big bother the few times I called with questions and always felt very rushed to get off the phone. I was also misled numerous times with either inaccurate information, or no information at all. All of this caused me great distress and still does to this day. Her admin assistant is just as lacking with communication skills and is very non-personable. Overall, it was a very disappointing, frustrating and overpriced experience. Regretfully, I could never recommend this law office as a result.

The majority of my clients (and there have been thousands) were referrals from other clients. We take communication very seriously and are accessible via text, phone, email, and appointments. If the attorney is in trial, or with another client, communications will and always have been promptly responded to. Family law is highly charged and emotional for the clients. Every now and then, client's believe that the advise that I am giving them is wrong so they become disgruntled. That is unfortunate.

Terrible Experience

I've been working with Frances and I must say the focus seems mostly on the money not the client. I feel at times I should have just represented myself because the money I've invested has not been worth the return thus far. Communication is a very big issue with Frances and her legal assistant . Thi...s lack of communication negativity affecting me and my case. I would not recommend Frances.

Of the thousands of clients I have represented over the past 20 years, the majority have been from referrals. I challenge clients to ask the judges of Bexar County and they will give me a very good rating for competency, work ethic, and being a very strong advocate for my clients.
