Frances V. Dunham

This person tried to open her speech of who she was as someone who has never been unable to accomplish something and that she always provides great resolutions to the best of her ability. When she asked what I was looking to get out of her services, I felt like most of what I had said went throug...h one ear and out the other. I had a very complex case, made her aware of this, and all she did was push for what she wanted to do, regardless of what I had asked her to push for. Im very flexible and willing to negotiate, but without going much more, she was unreliable. After using her, my case was actually placed in a worse position.

You people must be smoking some bad stuff because Frances has been our attorney for 15 years and every time the other party applies for an increase child support, Frances WINS our case each and every time. She is well worth every dollar spent! She is fair, very detailed, honest, responsive and alwa...ys available even during her the rough patch in her life. In addition, we have never received an invoice for anything other then the services provided and at that, it's the retainer fee.

I was referred to Frances Dunham through a church friend and ever since I hired Frances, it's had me saying, Oh My God ever since. She claims to be accessible in her responses to other reviews. That is an absolute joke and a blatant and flat-out lie. Julia, her paralegal, was completely overwhelmed, ...overworked and probably Under Paid and took all of Frances's phone calls while Frances got to reap all of the benefits of being the overpriced attorney. My divorce took place January 19th of 2015 and ever since then it has been a horror show. On the first court date, Francis didn't even know my name. That's how involved she is with her clients. Her paralegal knew my name. During that time, Frances was running for a judge's position here in San Antonio Texas. She was so preoccupied with telling people to go vote online and passing out campaign buttons that somehow she forgot that she was in a divorce hearing that day. When all was said and done and we thought we had done everything that we needed to get and everything was taken care of, Francis never read the revised version of the divorce decree that my ex's attorney had sent over, and foolishly and irresponsibly sent me the signature page only, through email, to sign it and return it. That was the worst mistake I could have ever made. It turns out that because of Frances' negligence and inability to proofread, landed me in quite the spot. The decree was absolutely ambiguous, unclear and undefined and everything else synonymous with those words. Now, 3 attorneys later, I'm trying to just get access to my son, when I had 100%, drop down to 50%, then finally down to 25% because my ex committed fraud in court and now we're going through that now. Maybe now that she's not so preoccupied with such an important and responsible role in the judicial system, she can actually focus on things she can handle. In fact, the irony in the situation, is that when Francis lost the judge's seat, and I voted Democrat that day, her paralegal Julia, now works for my current attorney, after Francis packed up and left San Antonio. You suck Francis and if I knew how to say it in Spanish, I do that for you too. Thanks a lot for nothing. Be blessed

I am a dad with 4 children and it would have only been 3 children without Frances. We had to fight my case in 2 counties till we finally got to san antonio which was the 3rd. She is a brilliant attorney. We were bombarded at one time by two attorneys from my ex. Frances may look beautiful, but sh...e is a pitbull with lipstick. We faced nothing but false allegations for years. During the years I did have my daughter which was important because she was not safe with her mom. I had her from 18 months with temp orders till it aas finalized. I could not have had a better christian attorney. If you have a problem call Frances, don`t question her methods. My child`s safety was at stake but I knew Frances by her heart and energy she was right and there always was a reason we did things a certain way. I have been remarried for over 6 years and I am totally indebted to this woman. Go with the christian attorney with morals, tell her the truth so she does not get bombarded by the other side and their facts, especially when the other side lies. God sees all. He gave Frances a talent and after looking back with what we were faced with, I know he worked through Frances. If some client has a problem with Frances, I can assure you that they did not do their part. When that happens, she cannot do hers. Do not jeopardize your kids well-being, hire Frances. You will not regret it.

We hired Ms. Dunham for a child custody case a few years ago and it was the worse experience ever. We mainly dealt with her assistant, when we appeared in court she was not prepared. It was as if she had never heard of our situation. If I hadn't brought my own material to court that day we would h...ave had nothing to work with. When we arrived in court we were told that our retainer had been used up. Yet we had never received a bill in all the months prior to court to inform us of the zero balance. There were a lot of mistakes made in our hearing because of her lack of or should I say no preparation. It was a very lengthy hearing and when it was all said and done the outcome was not what we had hoped for to say the least. I attempted to contact Ms. Dunham the following day for advice on our case and she refused to speak to me because we now had a very large bill that needed to be paid prior to having a conversation with me. She finally came to the phone after I agrued the fact that we had never received a bill however all she said was that she didn't have to legally talk to me because I had a balance. She didn't care enough to do her job, to do the job she was hired to do. We should have reported her to the state bar but I was so exhausted after our case that I couldn't find the energy to do it. Especially because I did all the dirty work for her and yet I paid her thousands of dollars to do nothing. I hope somebody finds this information helpful. I've noticed how she's responded to some of the commits on this site however the truth speaks loudly when out of the thousands of recommendations she has apparently had, not one has bothered to make a positive comment about her. Every single rating on here is poor and she only got that from me because I couldn't go lower with my rating.
