David Andre Woodard

Mr. Woodard's professionalism has been beyond subpar since his appointment to my case. He fails to communicate, & I wld go further to say he INTENTIONALLY doesn't communicate. As a mttr of fact my 1st face-to-face interaction w/ Mr. Woodard ws horrific, & I say this bcse he literally refused to tlk t...o me. As we're in the crtrm Mr. Woodard acquires the State's file outlining my charge, he reads the offense rprt to me, I ATTEMPTE to converse w/ him regarding establishing a defense & he abruptly, & rudely cuts me off & wlks awy frm me stating he doesn't wnt to "argue", which left me dumbfounded cause "arguing" ws the least of my concerns @ tht momnt. I didn't, & still dn't undrstd hw my attempt to communicate the establishing if a defense, to kp my freedom intact could b labeled as "arguing." After he wlk'd awy frm me he wnt & sat on the other side of the petition tht splits the crtrm, so I attempt to approach & persuade him to communicate, & this man stands up, & loudly shouts for me to nt approach him as if I ws abt to attack him... I couldn't believe it, & still dn't! One wld hve to actually witness wht I experienced to undrstd it's magnitude. In all my experience w/ Mr. Woodard has me in fear for my freedom, especially considering the crt will nt appointment me w/ new counsel... The life of a "pauper" entwined in the criminal "justice" system... Brutal...!

I texted/called him every single day the entire months of February and March 2021. It is now 2 days away from January 2022 and I've STILL not heard back from him. Because of his absence, I'm unable to have my house arrest/GPS restrictions modified. I served 4 months in county jail, and once I was fin...ally able to afford to pay my bond I was released on house arrest restrictions. I was told by my pretrial officer that after 2-3 months that my attorney should file a motion to have my restrictions reduced so that I could be able to leave my house and just have a curfew. I've now been on full house arrest for over a year, with no court date in my future because he ignores my every attempt to contact him, therfore I'm unable to request he file that motion. The only thing he did for me was hey my bond reduced while I was in jail, which pretty much happens to anyone that files the motion requesting it.
