Biography
Cathy Compton is an experienced attorney who is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Criminal Law. Cathy practices criminal and immigration law. With the primary office located in San Antonio, Cathy is able to serve clients throughout the hill country and South Texas area. She is an experienced litigator, with an extensive and very successful trial record, handling extremely serious and complex cases. As Family Justice Division Chief for the Hays County District Attorney's Office, Cathy managed a division of attorneys, training and serving as a mentor to the most promising attorneys in the office.
Her success as an attorney has come from a determined work ethic and a commitment to teamwork. Cathy is licensed in both Texas and California, admitted to practice in several district and circuit courts. Cathy practices in state and federal court. She is known as a heavy-hitter and is often sought after by other colleagues to assist with very difficult and complicated high stakes trials. She is bilingual (Spanish/English) with proficiency in both speaking and writing on a professional level.
A dynamic speaker and trainer, Cathy Compton has been invited as a conference faculty member and presenter in various settings. She has participated in symposiums and conferences both in the United States and abroad.
In addition to her primary career, Ms. Compton co-founded the Alamo City Rollergirls, LLC, a successful company designed to empower women and provide mutual support through diversity and athleticism. The Alamo City Rollergirls is an organization that is still thriving today and one of the member leagues in the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association).
