I hired Cheryl for a personal civil case as well as for my father for his divorce case and nothing was done but when she resigned or retired and said she would send back checks to everyone she had cases for, for the money that was given, but when trying to contact her back she wouldn’t answer and whe...n she finally did she now is saying I have a balance after she did nothing for my case since I had a court appointed attorney and all she did was send over a PO for me to sign at the end. As far as my father’s case she did nothing…that we ended up having to find another attorney and pay another retainer fee. I see on here she specializes in other things that are not divorce but didn’t think we would be robbed in this kind of way. We received and email stating she had to withdraw due to personal matters I suppose but said this……. This was in July. Never recieved anything more from her since until now that I kept insisting to touch base with her……her words “ I will also be going through the individual billing and preparing a breakdown of the retainer paid and the work completed. If there is any money left, I will prepare a check so you may take to your next attorney. However, if there is no money left and an actual deficit, I will not be billing you for these amounts, as I would rather you spend your money on your next counsel. Additionally, the information I will be sending you will include a list of potential attorneys that I have spoken to and who have agreed to finish out these cases. You can reach out to them or hire your own. Just do your research before hiring anyone check out reviews and there specialties before you lose thousands of dollars.
