Reilly Garrett began his legal career following an exceptional history of service to both country and community. Prior to graduating from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, Reilly enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman in 2005 and would go on to serve two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his military service Reilly achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star, among other numerous awards and medals.
Upon leaving the Army in 2010, Reilly became a Police Officer and served the College Station, Texas, community for more than seven years. During this time Reilly distinguished himself as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Intoxilyzer Operator, Detective, Special Investigator, and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.
While serving as a Detective with the College Station Police Department, Reilly recognized the important service defense attorneys provide in our criminal justice system. With a goal of continuing service to his community, Reilly went on to receive his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from Texas A&M University School of Law and was licensed to practice law in October of 2021.
Reilly's military and law enforcement experience set him apart from other criminal defense attorneys. His background provides his clients with a unique perspective and approach to defending against criminal allegations. Reilly approaches each case with an eye for detail – particularly when it comes to cases involving DWI, Drug Offenses, Search and Seizure, and other offenses involving complex investigations.
