Jolei Ann Bayard Shipley

Hired Mrs Shipley, paid all fees up front. They have done absolute nothing for my case. We went to court via Skype in August and according to them we still waiting on Judges signature here in December. They don’t return phone calls AT ALL nor will they respond to emails. I would definitely not hire t...hem or refer anyone to them especially when it’s involving sensitive, urgent family matters

I was deathly afraid she took my case because I didn't know anything about her first hand but, had great recommendations from friends. My divorce was long and really stressful. In the end, I was ready to settle and give my spouse whatever it took to just be divorced with the exception of custody of... our children. Jolei would not let me settle and told me I would regret it when my emotions settled down. I am thankful I listened to her. The end result was worth me holding on a little longer. I would highly recommend her as an attorney. My only issues have been with her staff not returning calls or notifying her when I called. This has been an issue for other clients I referred to her as well.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jolei as she was referred to me by another lawyer. Her team was very professional in spite the rush of hurricane Harvey. I do not live in the area but highly recommend her to represent you if your thinking about a divorce. She was prompt for the hearing and stayed on t...op of things. More equally important is that she spoke to me as her client with respect and it was a pleasure having her to represent my case. Not really sure why some lawyers speak with such aggressiveness when looking to retain, especially when a divorce can be stressful but I appreciate the passion and compassion.

Someone told me Jolie was a bulldog. This was the reason we hired her to gain custody of my children. She was anything but that. Very hard to get in contact with. Seldom returns calls. On cell phone during court. My divorce has been prolonged since 2011. It's now 2016. 20 minutes before court begins,... she brings me in a side room and says," O.K. remind me about your case." I fired her the end of last year. I would absolutely not recommend using her services.

Despite the situation that me and my family found ourselves in being outside of Mrs. Shipley's specific area of expertise, she demonstrated an amazing degree of knowledge and proficiency in the areas of personal rights, legal restrictions, and operational procedures. When we had been rendered incap...able of defending ourselves by and from the same Legal system instituted for the sole purpose of defending our rights, she was able to quickly and effectively secure the protection of our rights and rescue us from our otherwise helpless situation. We can't praise her enough for truly becoming our 'guardian angel'.
