Johnathan David Silva

Johnathan Silva is the Founder and Managing Partner of Veteran-Owned Law Firm J.D. Silva & Associates. He focuses his practice on personal injury and criminal defense cases, handling largely motor vehicle accident cases of all types – including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and more. Johnathan is natively bilingual, fluent in Spanish as a first-generation American son of Mexican immigrants.

Communication and honesty are a key part of Johnathan’s philosophy, in part gleaned from enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 17. He trained as a medic, serving overseas twice and traveling to 36 countries during his seven years of military service. While in the Navy, Johnathan earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Political Science from the American Military University. Upon his discharge, Johnathan was accepted into Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He served as a Texas Access to Justice Foundation Fellow before graduating in 2014.

During law school, Johnathan interned with Lone Star Legal Aid in Angleton, Texas, where he provided legal advice and guidance to low-income individuals. Inspired by this work, Johnathan applied for a grant upon his graduation from law school from Equality Justice Works, a national organization that supports local community efforts. He was selected as one of only 25 Texas recipients of a two-year grant allowing him to focus on veteran’s disability law in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. With his military background and legal degree, he was able to provide high-quality legal services to his fellow veterans.

He founded J.D. Silva & Associates in 2018 to spearhead his ongoing work advocating for injury victims. His background as a military medic and lawyer provide him with a unique understanding of the medical issues involved in personal injury cases.
