The worst lawyer ever she'll have ask you how much money you have or you don't have that much and then she'll hire baby daddy that has $3,000 and I had five and then she called me personally inside listen I have kids I'm not going to let him take your daughter from you and then we go to court and wha...t happens she took my daughter for me not for long she just made me sign paperwork that I had no idea what it meant and she reprinted paperwork with my signature on it and I never agreed to have to stop that she said she's evil stay away never hire this girl unless you like bad karma and the devil on your side God is good if you believed in God stay away from this woman

I recently hired Kathleen McCumber to represent me during a trying divorce. Kathleen was extremely professional and informative from the first consultation and throughout the entire process. During the divorce and legal proceedings, she explained what was happening, what to expect, and what strategie...s she would be using to represent and protect my best interest. This upfront and honest information was comforting and reduced some of the stress normally associated with such a life changing event. Being a father, my child’s visitation schedule was extremely important me. During our consultations, Kathleen took the extra time needed to ensure both my child’s and my needs were met. Kathleen also took extra care when evaluating the financial side of the separation. She looked at every possible account, asset, and liability to secure the best financial outcome for me. After the consultations, proceedings, and meditations were finalized, Kathleen followed up with me to ensure everything went as agreed by my ex-wife. I was in a desperate situation with my son and needed to get separated from my Husband. My son needed a lot of counseling and needed my full attention. I met with her and she just took care of me so i could get my son back on level ground the divorce was completed quickly without much from me after... the first meeting. I don't know where i would be right now without her i am so grateful for her and her Professional and Personal attention.

Did not return my phone calls. Did not keep me informed of status of my case or appeals, did not prepare me for court proceedings and what or what not to expect. She did not follow through with any actions when I told her my suspicions that my Ex was hiding assets, nor do anything about the domesti...c abuse issues. She did not fight for me and what I wanted or what was fair and equitable, nor inform me of the legal aspects of anything I discussed and disclosed. I felt abandoned, rather than supported. I still have financial awards ordered in decree that she has not obtained for me. She did not discuss or go over the final decree, nor visitation schedule, nor other complex aspects of decree that I did not completely understand. She did not provide critical financial and income documents affecting Child Support order. She was not prepared in any way for the temporary hearing and seemed uninformed about what my Ex and his Atty were going to do or say, so I guess she did not go over discovery docs or inquire about what My Ex wanted or was planning to do, or look into what his Attorney's strategy was going to be. Finally and more important that anything else, she alone is responsible for losing the most precious, "things" that mattered more than anything in the world to me-my children. Her response to me about losing Managing Conservatorship was that I should be happy because I did not have to deal with the daily issues such as feeding them and homework, etc.

I highly disagree with previous 2 negative reviews. She is FANTASTIC. I hired her for a modification and later she worked on an enforcement for me and I was extremely satisfied. Ms. McCumber exceeded my expectations with regard to my case. I felt like in Court she was on the ball and I couldn't h...ave been happier. Unfortunately, I've had several other attorneys in the past and they took my money and did nothing for me. My child is my main priority and Ms. McCumber helped me get a final order which would protect my child. I wish she was the first attorney I would have hired! She is very well respected in the legal community and now I know why. Anyone would be lucky to have her as your attorney.
