How refreshing! This is a man who says what he thinks and feels what he says!
This attorney is a gifted orator who is wise because he speaks clearly and adroitly. His style is charming and he can say what needs to be said calmly and mildly, while paying close attention to arrangement, precision, and clarity of words . . . He starts with first preparing the ears of his audience and he concludes by working them up to a fiery passion. . . .I have (and will continue to do so) recommended this Attorney to those who ask my opinion. While not inexpensive, you definitely get what you pay for. An honest man among us!

Mediocre at Best
I retained this attorney to incorporate (actually, create a LLC) in the state of Texas. He was 20 minutes late for my first appointment with him (he had actually scheduled another client at the same time as my appointment). If I had been 20 minutes late I'm thinking he would have been fairly upset. Then, once we got into the meeting, he displayed an arrogant and disdainful attitude. I got the impression he felt like the big, important attorney and I was the simpleton client who should just do whatever he said. I tend to ask a lot of questions so that I understand what is going on, and he really didn't want to answer them. His behaviour on subsequent meetings was similar to the first. I guess I should have gone elswhere but since I had already taken up some of his time I felt somewhat obligated. I ended up paying him $1500 for what I estimate to be approximately 2 to 3 hours worth of labor (which I found later I could have done easily via various websites). He set up the LLC easily enough so I can't fault him for that. In addition to the LLC formation, I asked him to create some standard contract documents for me. Well, it was obvious that he hadn't spent more than a cursory amount of time and energy creating them. I have a friend who is an attorney dealing primarily in real estate law (otherwise I would have used him), and he looked the contracts over. He was underwhelmed to say the least. So, overall, I got the impression that Owen is not really interested in providing great or even good representation... his real interest is in collecting your retainer check and moving on to the next client.
