30 years ago I went to see Bruce For a double paternity suit And child support case because my husband was a political figure and I had gone to a few other attorneys that told me that they would not go up against him Because it could prove to hurt them in their Careers if they did. Bruce and my husba...nd had past history so Bruce was more than willing to go up against him. Yes it is true Bruce is rude and arrogant to his clients He even had a sign in his desk that said BOSS ( spelled backwards is double SOB) so you kinda got the gist right up front. I wanted to be amicable with my children’s father but Bruce let me know that he wasn’t concerned with me but he was there for my children to get them what they deserved. Each time we went into court and the judge ruled in my favor my husband would fire his attorney (3 in all during the process). But My children got a settlement and I got custody and child support. Which he didn’t pay so Bruce went for the garnishment. We win again. However my husband didn’t show for court because he was at the hospital doing a chemo session. Bruce didn’t care, he was in contempt for not showing. I begged Bruce to leave it be but was ignored as I found out when I received a call from my husband informing me that he was about to be arrested and taken to jail. Being who he was they allowed him to call me first. I called Bruce and had to actually fire him from my case to avoid my husbands arrest. Even though I feel Bruce does go to the extreme. He is one hell of a lawyer and I would recommend him to anyone. He gets the job done. He can be a bit pricey, but in my case at least, he took his fee out of the settlement with minimal up front as I just didn’t have it on the consult. Yes you have to be thick skinned in order to work with Bruce and deal with his arrogance but he gets the job done and I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone I come across that may need a good attorney in the same situation as I found myself. Mind you I do give fair warning to them as to Bruce’s “Sunny“ personality so that they just don’t totally get the wrong impression of him and put your trust in him that he will get you the results that your children need and deserve in the end.

I hired him because I heard he is tough and ruthless and gets results. My first consultation with Bruce, my ex was way behind on child support and had filed a motion to stop child support completely. Bruce told me he would file 2 counter suits and get the child support caught up and stop my ex from p...laying the games he was playing. He dragged everything out, never filed the counter suits, never had any information needed in court but he kept billing me like he’s was actually doing the things he told me he’d do. He was rude and condescending every time I talked to him. I didn’t receive court notifications until the last minute from his office. On one occasion, I never even received notice that I had a court date so I wasn’t there. The judge ultimately awarded in favor of my ex and said he no longer even needed to pay child support at all. I stood in court in complete disbelief. Bruce was awful. I kept receiving bills from his office for a year for the 2 countersuits that he never even filed. He is just out for money. Do not use him!

It was a very frustrating, offensive time that I paid this guy to be rude to me. He was ill informed every time we went to court, never had paperwork. The opposing attorney walked all over him and his response was to call me stupid and other names. Big waste of money and time, during a time I had... neither to lose. His office staff seems scared of him, they constantly lose emails and paperwork and aren't up with technology that may help them be more organized.

From the moment I gave Him his retainer I regretted hiring him but it was too late. The second appt. I made with him to discuss questions that I had I was greeted in a Hostile manner. Every question was answered in a condescending manner and I was made to feel totally incompetent because I didn't un...derstand legal terminology. When I questioned the billing He asked me if "I could add?" Throughout the course of the case there was absolutely no contact from His office other than sending bills. Whenever his office sent copies of legal papers, there would be no explanation as to what the paperwork meant or what He recommended. When I called His office I was told they were busy and they would call me back. I would not get a return call. Things got really ugly towards the end when He scheduled court and didn't inform me. A second court date was scheduled to finalize paperwork. He showed up 3 1/2 hours late! Because of this there could no longer be another rescheduling without having to go to trial! Long story short, He withdrew as Counsel days before our case was due to court. I had to hire another attorney at the very last minute to represent me. Wonder how many people He has done and will continue doing this to in the future?
