This review is from a person who hired this attorney.

DO NOT HIRE THE WORST LOYER YOU CAN FIND IN MANVEL TX.

He is the worst defender , he is a court appointed defender because no body will hire him he is so rude gettle and disrespecfull we contacted him regarding my brother and after 8 month in jail only one time he went to introduce himself and by the time of the hearing he was ready with the best deal ...25 yrs his full of crap he don't work for you he worked against you. So please if Michele Dias of Marvel Texas is appointed to your love one please get him off their case because he will ruin them more. He saids his 30 yr experience he can be 60 years and he will still be a court appointed because no body will hire him. Your Feedback

Look for sommeone else. Do not trust YOUR liberty to this guy!!!!!!

Overview: Our 15 yr old son carried a single piece of candy onto a school bus which contained a prescription pain killer. He was caught and charged with Felony possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone (a Texas public school zone). There was no doubt that he was guilty of this crime..., however since it was one piece and his first charge, we were requesting a hearing for a reduced charge to a Misdemeanor instead of a felony. We hired Mr Diaz to represent our son in this matter. Mr Diaz 'appeared' to be concerned with our son's case, but he obviously was not. He did not keep us informed. Although we had two months to prepare for this hearing, Mr Diaz very rarely returned our phone calls and did nothing to prepare us or our child for this hearing. He kept telling us he was going to speak with the DA to settle this prior to the hearing. He lied about his attempts to speak with the DA (whom with he claimed to have a 'great' rapport). He did NOT negotiate for a reduced sentence with the DA, as he said he did. We spoke with the DA and Asst DA directly, and they both confirmed that Mr Diaz never contacted them. Mr Diaz scheduled a hearing, yet did nothing to prepare us for what was going to take place. He had no idea about how to defend our son, and did absolutely nothing to cross-examine the states witnesses, even though it was very obvious that they were not telling the truth. Mr Diaz was VERY unprepared for our hearing. He stumbled through the few questions he did ask, and had zero follow-up to the answers provided. Mr Diaz simply collected our $3,500 and did zero to prepare for this hearing! He seemed to stagger through the entire process and had zero rebuttal in our defense. I spoke to Mr Diaz a week prior to our hearing to voice my disdain for his lack of communication with us and my concerns with his lack of commitment to our son's case. I told him I was very disappointed with his representation. Do you know what he said to me? He said, "I am very disappoint that your son got himself into this trouble." SERIOUSLY? Isn't this WHY you are a defense attorney????? To defend those who have been accused of a crime? He prejudged this case and then sat back and let my 15 yr old child get hammered with a felony, with zero defense, while spending my $3,500. DO NOT trust this man with YOUR liberty!
