Chris R. Lay is a native Texan who was raised and still resides in Brazoria County, Texas. In 1990, Mr. Lay was awarded his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. In 1999, he received his law degree from South Texas College of Law. Since that time, he has primarily practiced civil litigation in Brazoria, Galveston and Harris counties. Although his primary litigation practice centers on personal injury and family law, he also has experience in probate, insurance litigation, business litigation, employment discrimination, medical malpractice, maritime law and toxic tort litigation.
Mr. Lay is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Additionally, Mr. Lay is a member of and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Brazoria County Bar Association.
