I don't recommend

Victoria initially took my divorce case after taking a 9k retainer. She said that's all she would need and I would get everything I wanted from the house to 50/50 custody of the kids. One month passes by and I get a call from Victoria telling me she needs to come into the office to discuss the case. ...She basically asks me for 5k more. I reluctantly pay another 5k and wait to hear from her. All seem to go well for 2 weeks with her paralegal asking for more information for the discovery, but once I provided that information to her paralegal, I NEVER hear from Victoria again. I called, I wrote, I called again, I wrote again, month after month goes by and I get no updates or communication from the office or Victoria for 4 months. The case moved no further from that point. I would have fired her, but I couldn't even get a hold of her. Please don't hire this woman, she will make a horrible situation like divorce or child custody even worse for you. I'm sure there are many competent lawyers in Texas, Victoria was not that for me.

Greetings Mr. or Ms. Anonymous, your tale is entertainingly hilarious, and I am sure others will find it as amusing as I did, because who will believe my firm stole $14,000.00 from you and you still wish to remain anonymous and not receive a refund? READ ON… Anyone who reads this scenario or knows me will see through this fabrication. If what you say is true, then my firm did not complete your divorce and you should be refunded. I welcome you identifying yourself so my firm can forward you an invoice accompanied by a refund. The type of attorney you describe above is not me or within my character. To say, you “NEVER” heard from me and that you called, wrote, called, wrote, etc… is a non-truth. What is factual is that this entire fact pattern has never occurred in my firm and is designed by a disgruntled, narcissistic, x-client seeking to harm our reputation. The entire scenario is senseless. Why would any client “basically” & “reluctantly” pay $5k after paying $9k with no co-creation on their case from my firm? What consumers may not understand about the legal profession is that some clients want to practice law using an attorney’s license and when we refuse to allow that they become salty and the narcissism becomes evident. If you want a law license, there is a clear path for that… but, to believe my license is for sale and that paying my firm a retainer makes me or any other lawyer your puppet is silly and intolerable. I sincerely wish you would have the courage to identify yourself so I can forward you a refund. But, the fact is, you don’t exist because this never occurred and would never occur in my law firm because I care about the consumer of legal services and have empathy and compassion for all sentient beings. Mr. or Ms. Anonymous, I sincerely wish you every happiness your heart can hold and will be sending you light and love for your journey because I know you are hurting and need it. Namaste!~ Victoria Broussard

From professional to family

Victoria has been in our lives for many years. The situation I was in happened to be with my own parents. When I had no one to trust or talk to, Victoria always answered my calls. She always went above and beyond as far as representing me but also was a great sense of comfort and strength for me. No ...matter how many times we were called into court, no matter how ridiculous the issue was, Victoria was there with me. She remained professional and I really felt as though she was a wonderful teammate for me. We did ultimately end up winning the case that was 5+ years long and it wouldn't have happened had it not been for Victoria. She never once waivered. She always believed in the fact that we would come out on top, and we did. She would meet me where I was able to, even at mcdonalds when my son was small so that he was able to play while we talked. She literally dropped everything one day to meet me for an emergency "appointment" that involved my children, last minute without question. I cannot recommend her enough. After 5+ years in and out of court we basically became family. She's still in our lives and I'm so thankful to be able to call her a dear family friend.

Review

“Going through a divorce was difficult enough, but knowing what the right step to take next was even more difficult. Victoria walked me through and explained each process as it came our way in the legal process. She was knowledgeable, attentive, caring and compassionate. Any questions I had were answ...ered quickly and thoroughly. Everything was so personalized and she made me feel as if I was her most important client each and every time we spoke. She is a remarkable person and lawyer. Victoria was a blessing to myself and my children and I am forever grateful for all her help.”
