Experienced Fort Bend Divorce and Family Lawyer
At The Pinak Law Firm, PLLC, Judge Pinak’s combined experience as a litigator, mediator, arbitrator and District Judge is dedicated to the emotional and legal well-being of every client.
As Fort Bend County’s first female District Court Judge, Vicki Pinak has insight into how a client’s case may be perceived from the bench.
Vicki Pinak was appointed to the Fort Bend County District Court bench. The appointment was based upon her years of experience, ethical reputation and accomplishments.
Vicki Pinak graduated from the University of Houston in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While she was obtaining her undergraduate degree, she was involved in the development and implementation of the first infant stimulation program through Mental Health Mental Retardation Authority. This program expanded and provided services to thousands of children with learning disabilities.
Prior to law school, she also worked with MD Anderson Hospital and was involved in cancer research protocols to aid in the development of chemotherapy drugs for patients diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease.
After Vicki Pinak completed her undergraduate degree, she obtained a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and began her legal career with the legendary attorney, Tom Alexander. While working with Tom Alexander she handled extremely complex litigation matters for celebrities like Mickey Gilley, Bob McNair and major corporations. She was regularly in federal courts and state courts handling hearings and trials.
Vicki Pinak has been married to her husband for 25 years, and they have a son who is in middle school. She moved to Quail Valley in Fort Bend County in 1972.
Judge Pinak uses her insight to her clients’ advantage and will advocate for her clients forcefully in the courtroom. With additional experience as a mediator and arbitrator, she knows what is needed to finalize a successful resolution for legal matters.

Keeping Divorce from becoming a Disaster. Divorce hurts, even if you are the
one that decided to file the initial paperwork. However, Divorce does not need
to end in a disaster.
Our objective is to educate each client to help them understand options which
will make the process as painless as possible, for the entire family. Even the
way your spouse is served with the initial paperwork, can set the stage for the
divorce proceedings to be amicable or a disaster.
Divorce can create feelings of sadness, anger and betrayal. This is especially
true if the divorce request seemed to come "out of the blue." Such feelings can
lead to mistrust and financial uncertainty. If we represent the party who is
asking for the divorce, it is important to counter that mistrust with
transparency during the divorce proceeding. Meaning, we don’t hide assets,
and we turn over financial records before they are even requested. The
number one way to turn a Divorce into a financial disaster is to refuse to
produce financial documents as if one has something to hide. That only leads
to court hearings and more attorney fees.
In every Divorce we need to ensure there is transparency as to the assets and
debts to be allocated. Our law firm has handled 100s of cases where our
client’s spouse has hidden assets and/or misrepresented income. Our law firm
is known for its ability to find hidden assets. We have had attorneys refer
cases to us to find the fraud. If an attorney does not take the time to review
the financial records, such neglect will lead to a disproportionate share of the
assets going to the spouse who committed the fraud. Finding the hidden assets
early in the process can show the spouse deceit won’t be tolerated.
Just understanding different ways to help your spouse feel a part of the
process, instead of making the spouse feel a victim forced into the process, can
help keep a Divorce from becoming a Disaster. Our 29 years of experience
can help you find your way without leaving a path of destruction behind.
