TERRIBLE ATTORNEY

Paid this guy $2500 he promised to have the case dismissed or thrown out.....LIES! Once this guy gets your money he doesn't give a damn what happens he doesn't take the case to trial like he promises he takes the first offer you are given and walks away. He never kept in contact to let us know what w...as going on with the case or anything he hardly ever showed up to court he would either send someone or show up extremely late. PLEASE BE CAREFUL DO NOT HIRE THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A ATTORNEY YOU WILL GET THE SHORT END OF THE STICK.

Worst attorney ever!!

Don never told us what was going on with our case. He went and set our case to trial without asking us. We had to fire him in order to have a fighting chance in court.

doesnt honor contract worst attorney ever!!!

2500 to defend through trial... tried to force me to accept plea. 5 yrs later on day of trial. Requested judge to have me evaluated for competence. Never once answered calls never spoke to me about anything other than have i paid in full and take a plea. Spent 4000 to replace this worthless attorney.... another 1200 to get my own psychological assesment. Since the judge almost had me commit to a mental institution till i regained my competence.... 5 yrs took no plea so the next move was to take my rights. Glory be to God for helping me fight these unconstitutional acts against me. Also would give a shot out to Tristan Legrande attorney at law. A blessing in my eyes. Ty and God bless... Goliath of an opponent im up against. Hopefully justice prevails

Horrible!!!!!!

DO NOT DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use Don Hecker as your lawyer. He does no work and only wants your money. We hired Don Hecker to handle a case for my brother. He first told us one price when we went for the consultation. After we left his office he called and called about paying him the money becau...se he said he knew he could get my brothers case handled. Once we did pay him the money he stopped answering or returning our calls. Once my brother court date came is when we heard from him again demanding more money and with a new price. We paid him the additional money the day before court. In court the next day he was so unprepared. He let the judge read wrong charges on my brother and allowed him to accuse him of crimes he did not commit. He looked terrified of the DA and he looked like he had no clue what was going on. The judge then brought up that a hearing needed to be done to see if Don Hecker could represent my brother due to a possible conflict of interest with him representing someone else who was charged in the same crime as my brother. I felt he should have known this would have been an issue before taking our money. The hearing was set to determine if there was indeed a conflict. Don Hecker decided not to show. When we called to get information not knowing he did not show we were told that he could no longer represent my brother due to the conflict of interest and we needed to find a new lawyer. I decided to call the court myself, and I found out Hecker never showed for any decision to be made. I was done with this man he had lied to us and robbed us of our money. We called wanting a refund of our money because nothing was resolved. He would not call us back to explain his lies or anything. His secretary started being rude because we would not stop calling demanding our money back. After weeks of calling he decided that he would give us half our money back. I have never felt so unjust. This man has no concern or care for others, Rude, Money Hungry, Liar and Untrustworthy. I will be filing a grievance compliant with the bar. Please save yourself the trouble, frustration and disappointment with dealing with him.

1500 down and no response

Avoid this attorney at all cost. He should be disbarred , why he is still allowed to practice law puzzles me.
