Jerry Steven Scheff

Mr. Scheff was hired to represent me in my divorce. He was kind on the front end, until he received retainer. It then became an uphill battle to get him to do anything. He would not return my calls promptly, if at all. He lied about what he said he had scheduled with the presiding court and meetings ...with respondent’s attorney. I called the court to verify and found no such time, or date for court was reserved. I also verified he did not have specific conversation with respondent’s attorney. Constantly he gave me the run around and different excuses as to why he had not moved forward on the case, after his original petition. He charged me for services not rendered. I completely agree with the individual who gave the previous negative rating here. I only wish I had found the rating prior. I fired Mr. Scheff and took my lumps! I also filed a grievance with the State Bar of Texas.... Beware!
