David Paul Havins

I was in an automobile accident from a hit and run driver who hit me from the side and I had a neck injury. I hired Mr. Havins to help me because he was referred to me by a friend and I looked at the Havins Law Firm online to see what kind of cases he handles. I went in for an appointment and I had... a meeting with Mr. Havins and his staff. His office was very impressive and you can see a great view of Houston from the conference room where I met with him and his employees. He has large staff, with several attorneys working for him and they were very good to me. He explained what I should expect from the case and I had an opportunity to ask questions and get answers. I had to file a claim against the insurance company, but they denied my claim and didn’t even want to pay for my medical bills. Mr. Havins sent a letter to the insurance company asking them to pay for my medical bills and the pain that I experienced from this accident and my lost wages, but they said my medical bills were too high. My attorney took my case to court and he asked for money for my medical expenses and injuries from the jury. I met with him and his staff many times and I was always told what was going on. He assisted me in getting good medical doctors to get the treatment that I needed for my injuries. I couple of loans to help me when I was unable to work. I was happy with everything he did for me. He charged a 1/3 attorney fee for the work he did, which was fair and it’s what I agreed to in the beginning. I understand that the insurance policy was only for $30,000.00, but he got all the money under the insurance policy that we could get. When I got the settlement he explained all of the charges and paid my medical bills for me. He even took the time to contact my doctors and ask them to reduce their medical bills and they did. I looked at all of the papers when we settled and he did a great job and he was honest about everything for me. I think he was very aggressive in handling my case and got me a good settlement. I would refer him to anyone who wants a good attorney to help you with everything. Mario

I hired him in reference to my car accident he grossed a large amount of money into his pocket. and gave me the crumbs not even the crumbs but the chips that fell from the table. Once I signed the release. Papers. To receive the settlement. Money they immediately stopped. Taking my phone calls for th...ree weeks.

I have been waiting on responces from this man for months! Everything takes 3 months to get an answer!!! We have 2 separate cases open with this attny and on one of them he has not even followed up with the insurance company to see why they have not yet accepted liability!!! It has benn15 months and... I have heard NOTHING on it. It took over a year to get anything out of the PIP and then when they got it they told me that they had not yet but when I logged on to my insurance company it said the check had been mailed out already. When I called his office and told them that I had confirmation that the check had been mailed out, they said oh maybe it will be in todays mail but we have not received that yet. Then I had to call back after noon to ask again, they did not call me to tell me. Then when I asked to go get the check they kept giving me reasons why they could not give me the check. All of a sudden the attorney is sick and has not been in for the last 3 days and he is the only one that can write the check. I am really fed up with this office and am ready to look for new a lawyer. There is no reason for it to take over a year to get a PIP check that you can get in 2 weeks if you did it on your own!

August 2012 I was in a car accident on 6-10 loop my car was spanned around 365 degrees in the middle of Houston's traffic! That was a frightful experience. It only got worst I realize now. I got in a wrecker trucker and he sold me on the clinic (Sophia @ Houston pain clinic) and that is where I was p...ut in contact with this law firm. I was a personal trainer prior to this accident therefore I had no healthcare and that treatment was not helping at all I was finally send to see a doctor who literally did not touch me just wrote me a script for muscle relaxers and pain medication. The body shop had my car for 3 months! And this lawyer never ever contacted me ever and when I would contact them it was like talking to a infant child (no understanding). I finally spoke with Neirada who told me "oh yeah no one contacted you we have you're settlement for 3,000 and that is split three ways between attorney , clinic and then you" REALLY! I am not signing nothing and when you hire an attorney shouldn't you at lease meet the attorney I was in aware that the paralegal practice law. I could go into more detail but every time I think about this scam my shoulder hurts and my anxiety returns its like being HIT ALL OVER AGAIN

Hi, I was just recently in a car accident on April 28,2012. I then knew I needed a lawyer! I first called a police. Then as we all know that took time but i waited. I waited until I the police arrived. The wrecker truck arrived first, I have to cut the story a little , and thats only becasue I want ...to mention my opinion about Mr. David Havins and his Colleges along secetaries. I took picuters, license plates etc ,he who hit me actually told me he did not have a license. Come to find out they where suspended for a drug case. Before i end the story very shortly,he left the scene. Why?, mom told him so!" I hear could hear everything she was telling him. Man I could go on," but here is what I really want to say",! I have done everything that I was told to do. I go to therapy.Keep in mind every thing I am saying. As I continue to say, I also went everytime i am suppose to go. I read the comments that where said about Mr.David havins I am thinking to my self. hmm, I Go to therapy, I call and I actually have talk to Mr.David personally < I communicate very well with the secetaries and Mrs Neradia. Mrs.Neradia keeps me inform. I call her she calls me. Took x-rays. This is no joke. Never the less, I was told my back will never be the same ever again. Everynight I cant sleep. I have to lay on my stomach or side. mostly my stomach. After sitting up for so many hours I have to post a pillow behind my back.When your body has taken all 3 medicines that the doctor has told you to take. And eventually it helps at some point but then starts to no longer work for you. At this point and every day that has pass me since day one. I always say I wish he would have never hit me. FORGET THE MONEY I have 3 beautiful kids, I still have to look after.Its my life I cant take money with me if I am gone. I recieved my PIP check and still have more money coming. First make sure your accident is real not FAKE! Go to a REAL THERAPIST.You call SOMETIMES. JUST REMEMBER IT TAKES TIME TOO,IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN OVER NIGHT. NOT EVEN IN 2 WEEKS. Talk like you want to be treated! And most of all you nor I are the only clients.Patients is a very virtual thing. I have respect for every last one of those attorneys and colleges and those that work for them. You never get any where screaming and shouting.I had my rental, went to therapy I called my attorney . The therapist did their part and still is.I am still in therapy.Now I have to go for a MRI on 02/28/2013.Never fall out with your attorney, it doesn't benefit what you really deserve.
