Like many other families, we were faced with decisions that we really didn’t think we would need to make… my Dad’s dementia was deepening and my Mom, his Caretaker, was beginning to rapidly fail herself. It came to the point I knew my Dad needed more care than what my Mom was capable of providing.... It needed to be done quickly and correctly. Frankly, I was worried my Mom would pass before my Dad. My parents are retired school-teachers. That means they are not rich, but they do have income.
