Exceptional Trial Attorneys Who Truly Care

Matthew Mussalli and Kelsey Ratz of The Mussalli Law Firm represented me, my business partner, and our respective entities in a complex and hard-fought trial in Harris County, Texas. The case involved a sharply contested real estate dispute regarding the sale of a hotel, and it ultimately ended with ...a Take Nothing Judgment in our favor after more than a week in court. From the beginning, Matthew and Kelsey were laser-focused, thorough, and unwavering in their commitment to our case. Their preparation was exceptional—every document, every witness, every nuance was accounted for. They took the time to walk us through every stage of the process and ensured we were not just legally ready, but emotionally and mentally prepared for what lay ahead. Their courtroom presence was commanding. Watching Matthew cross-examine witnesses was like watching a master at work—precise, strategic, and relentless. Kelsey’s poise and intelligence were equally impressive, and together, they were always ready for battle each day. What stood out most was their genuine care—not just for the case, but for us as people. It’s rare to form a bond with your legal team that goes beyond the courtroom, but that’s exactly what happened. Matthew and Kelsey are not only outstanding attorneys, but also incredible human beings. I’ll always be grateful for their dedication and friendship. If you’re facing a serious legal matter, you want The Mussalli Firm in your corner.

The best!

After reading all the reviews, I back them up 100%. You cannot pick a more dependable, sympathetic, and hard-working lawyer. Matt makes you feel like your case is extremely important and sees it through from day 1 until it is settled. I would hire Matt again for any legal need, big or small.

Just...the best...

I will never be able to sum up in one review what Matt Mussalli was able to do for our family. A few years ago, when I lost my husband and my children lost their father, Matt worked for what seemed like around the clock, non-stop, to learn about our case, interview witnesses, take depositions...the l...ist is endless. Throughout the three years it took to finalize and settle our case, Matt kept in constant contact with me and the children, not only as our attorney but as a friend who cared about our family. He guided us through every turn, every meeting, every hearing and a very lengthy, extremely complex trial process. Looking back now I can say, without a doubt, that I would have never, ever gotten through this time and come out as strong as I have had it not been for Matt's help. He not only pushed for justice in our case, but he pushed us all to keep fighting and to stay strong. His quiet strength is a rare quality in the legal process these days. He is a meticulous, critical thinker who was always two steps ahead of where we needed to be. His integrity in the courtroom made me proud that I was his client. His respectful, dignified demeanor, even with opposing attorneys, always left me feeling eternally grateful that I had found Matt. Following our success in the trial, Matt made sure that my family was left in the best hands regarding our settlement. To say that he has gone above and beyond is an understatement. He has given our family something that is priceless: justice for a husband and a father who could not speak for himself. But beyond that, he gave us peace of mind again. And for that, we are simply...thankful.

Homebuilder Dispute

Matt handled our case against the homebuilder who built our dream home. His knowledge and experience in the field was the reason we prevailed. Matt is a great listener and communicator. He is very soft spoken which helps relieve the stress of a difficult situation. He always gave us sound advice and ...kept us up to date on all aspects of our case. If I ever need to engage an attorney again, I need not look beyond Matt and his firm. We could not have chosen a better attorney or person.

Medical Practice Business Dispute.

At the age of 69 years I sought the advice of Mr. Mussalli. I had originally founded my medical practice as a solo practitioner and later brought in physicians who I thought were honorable. As time went on my partners made efforts to force me out and finally told me that I had to leave. This action... was then followed by a demand for money to cover the cost of finding my replacement and also for corporate debt. Mr. Mussalli was attentive and sympathetic throughout the next five years. He was always available and reassuring. He researched the law on my situation and carefully guided my wife and I through a prolonged period of discovery and depositions. In 2013 we went to trial before a jury who gave us a very favorable verdict. During the trial Matt was methodical and efficient in bringing the facts before the jury. He was always focused and quick to make his point on matters of law. He showed great skill in his oral presentations and witness examination. He assembled a great and hardworking team who were always ready with the appropriate documents. They seemed to have everything at the tip of their fingers. The jury verdict was appealed and went before the 14th Court of Appeals. Matt was well prepared for this eventuality having kept an appellate lawyer informed since our trial. The oral presentation in November 2014 went well for us. In July 2015 the Court of Appeals ruled in our favor on almost every issue "The boys" asked to settle and we received a cash settlement. We had won. In summary I would highly recommend Mr. Mussalli. He is a great listener with an excellent knowledge of the law and an imposing presence in court. He is an ethical, compassionate and caring human being.
