Never, ever, ever

I retained Ms. Hill to represent me in divorce proceedings. To say Ms. Hill failed as an attorney is an understatement. Ms. Hill knew when she accepted my case that I was the victim of sexual, domestic, and emotional abuse. Her firm took three weeks to simply file my Original Petition. Ms. Hill i...s an impossible attorney to communicate with and took three weeks to file my OPD. Following her office scheduling a phone conference with me she failed to call me. I had to call her paralegal, who was able to hand the phone to Ms. Hill. Ms. Hill was at lunch celebrating an associate’s birthday and failed to remember our conference. Quickly she dismissed my concerns in regards to my safety and the next steps of my case. It was audible in the background that Ms. Hill and her associates were requesting boxes for their Mexican lunches and laughing jovially in the background. She did not professionally address any of my concerns. Upon being confronted with my concerns, that she was not handling my case or addressing my concerns properly Ms. Hill ceased all communications with me leaving me no choice but to retain capable counsel. In addition in failing to address and act on my concerns as a victim of abuse Ms. Hill never made herself accessible. Furthermore, Ms. Hill gave inaccurate legal advice regarding my rights and ability to be safe in my own home. Her process server failed at every junction to properly attempt service of process and was rude and cruel when I attempted to assist him or inquire into the status of service. It should be noted that it took Ms. Hill over a week and a half to have her process server obtain the documents from the clerk. Ms. Hill’s lack of knowledge regarding access to a domicile and delayed attempts at service ended up costing me more money. As such I have had my proceedings delayed to my determent. In the event that Ms. Hill had performed professionally and timely my divorce could have been wrapped up by early summer. Now it appears that the best I can hope for is a resolution in the fall. Her ineptitude has cost me over $4000 a month in bills that I must legally continue to pay for my soon to be ex-husband She failed to advise me properly and did not take the necessary steps to ensure my safety and rights to an apartment in my name. Trying to schedule a conference with Ms. Hill was always an up hill climb peppered with frequent excuses as to why she had to duck out. As a result of Ms. Hill’s failures I have suffered emotionally, physically, and financially. She is not a professional and refuses to properly communicate or educate her clients. Ms. Hill is quite happy to accept a retainer but then ceases to work as a professional. I would sincerely advise anyone consider Ms. Hill for representation to seek out alternate counsel. She is not an advocate for her clients nor is she knowledgeable about family law.

Excellent divorce / family attorney

LeeAnne was most helpful in my divorce several years ago. I like that no matter what, she always does what is in the best interest of any children involved and will advise that even if different then what you originally were wanting to see happen. She makes sure the focus stays on the kids. She al...so was great when we needed to go back to court over property issues several years later. Both times she was direct and got what needed to be accomplished done and was respectful and to the point when doing it.
