Held my former employer accountable

I hired Fitz Law after I was let go by a Farmers Insurance agency owner who didn’t pay my final paycheck, withheld my commissions, and had classified me as a salaried employee even though I wasn’t paid enough to legally qualify as exempt from overtime. It honestly sucked to go through. I had spent... over a decade in the insurance industry, worked through lunches, stayed late, worked weekends, and put everything I had into helping grow that agency. Then when I was let go, she decided not to pay me what I had earned. It took me months to find an attorney who worked on contingency and actually understood what I was trying to explain. A lot of attorneys didn’t seem familiar with how insurance agencies pay producers, commissions, overtime, or misclassification. Mr. Fitz got it immediately. I had saved everything. I tracked my hours on my phone, kept my sales numbers, emails, screenshots, and built a timeline of what happened. The agency also had us clock in and out, so there was plenty of documentation. Mr. Fitz took all of it, negotiated with the agency owner and her attorney, and ended up getting me a settlement that was more than 500% higher than their original offer. What I appreciated most was that he actually responds. He keeps you updated, answers questions, and always seems to be working. That shouldn’t stand out as much as it does, but after talking to so many attorneys, it really did. If your employer says you’re “salary,” don’t just assume they’re right. I wasn’t. If your commissions were withheld, you weren’t paid your final wages, or you’ve been working overtime without being paid for it, it’s worth talking to someone who knows employment law. The agency owner made a very expensive mistake. Not long after all of this, her Farmers agency closed its doors. From what I learned, I wasn’t the only employee this happened to. I was just the one who kept records, documented everything, and decided to do something about it. Thank you, Mr. Fitz. I really appreciate everything you did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fitz Law to anyone dealing with unpaid wages, withheld commissions, overtime, or employee misclassification.

All the staff just as a competent attorney. You could tell everyone was experienced, which is not the case of some law firms

Great attorney and great staff. Everyone was professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They kept me informed, answered my questions, and made sure I understood what was going on every step of the way. If you’re looking for an employment attorney in Houston, I would abso...lutely recommend Fitz Law.
