“Courage is the most important attribute of a lawyer. It is more important than competence or vision. It can never be an elective in any law school. It can never be delimited , dated or outworn, and it should pervade the heart , the halls of justice and the chambers of the mind.” --Robert F. Kennedy (1962)
Robert Kennedy's words remind me every day that no matter how popular or unpopular our position, an attorney must have the courage to stand up for the rights of others and see that justice is done.
I have now expanded my practice areas by returniing to Family Law, having undergone intensive & in-dept re-education concerning the current updates/changes to Family ,
I am also becoming involved in Animal Law as it applies to dog and cat issues of lost/found & possession vs. ownership; & defensive of whether or not certain breeds of dogs are truly "inherently" dangerous. Texas case law has recently included the "value" of a pet beyond the base cost of the animal & now includes special training & emotional/companionship evaluations.
For the past 11 years I had been exclusively active in ethics (grievance) defense before the State Bar of Texas, Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel ("OCDC"),, Commission for Lawyer Discipliine ("CLD") and Board of Disciplinary Appeals ("BODA"); including other related appellate work, including original writs to the Supreme Court of Texas and related legal malpractice lawsuits. Recently as Co-Counsel for a Responding Attorney, for the first time in known history, made the CLD and OCDC non-suit a disciplinary action filed in state court without going to trial! Additionally I work with applicants before the Texas Board of Law Examiners ("BLE") and Justices regarding Judicial Cannons. I have authored numerous publications related to ethics, the operation of the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure, and cases before the Texas Board of Law Examiners. I have also written and taught CLE in Ethics for State Bar of Texas and South Texas College of Law MCLE programs.

Excellent work! Thank you Renee!

During what was an incredibly difficult time, they provided professional, compassionate guidance that I needed. They were exceptional both in their knowledge and pract...

Client Review
I used Renee for a lawsuit filed against me and my colleague by a law firm claiming our firm owed his firm money because we referred a client to one of his attorneys for a specialized matter that he had a dispute with over monies. An outrageous situtation that we should not have been involved in that...
