Not a great experience with Keith Stanley

I hired Keith based on a referral from a trusted friend. He promised quite a bit and it sounded like he had a good amount of knowledge. He does not fear a court room, and his reputation is that he will go to trial. After six months it became common for me to be promised return calls or emails but ...it would take weeks to get any information from him. His talk is great, his actions did not measure up, and he did not follow through on his promises. He was hired to assist in a divorce and custody case, but it became appaerent he did not know the rules of the court, or have any understanding of the processes of the Judge. He quit and overnighted my files, then later emailed me stating he quit, but had not answered my questions, and he would not inform me of his conversations with the opposing councel. He set expectations of a trial in Sept, that will actually be help months later. He is often out of the office and you should not expect any degree of good customer service. I trusted him, but in the end he was a total waste of time and money. He claims 30 years of experience but has only been an attorney for 12 years. That should have been a clue to me of his habit of being less than honest in my case. He was also afraid to call me when I asked and quit officially via email despite my repeated request for him to call me. The worst part was knowing my wife was driving and drinking with the children in the car and we have video, yet he could not even get the Judge to hear a motion. Many of the discovery items I requested were never requested by him, hence after six months very little progress. He may be good with a trust, or other clerical issues, but if you case is vital, I would recommend finding a more honest and trustworthy attorney with experience.
