You could just stay, and live for free. When you are gone, you could deal with any unpaid HOA dues.

Some states exempt all of the personal injury, but make sure it is set up properly. Also tax ramifications, if part is for past wages.

No reaffirmation means you can walk. I would at least call them and tell them you are leaving, so that the mortgage company can secure the house. ...
