Solomon Makau Musyimi

Mr. Musyimi runs a one-man shop under the guise of an immigration law firm. I was under asylum removal proceedings but granted relief under the Convention Against Torture. I later got married to a USC, and hired Mr. Musyimi for guidance in adjusting my status. He had no clue how to do this, and ...kept stringing me along and asking for money, even going as far as asking me for gas money at the courthouse parking lot after a hearing! How unprofessional. I ended up moving on and hiring Attorney Alexandre Afanassiev with then Foster Quan LLC. Mr. Afanassiev knew the legal procedures required to check the status of my case with USCIS, transfer my case, petition for it to be reopened, and helped me through every step of the adjustment of status process, which was successful! I know money is hard to come by as an immigrant, and many amongst us work low-paying, dead-end jobs. However, when it comes to immigration matters, do not spare money to get the professional help that you need and deserve. You get what you pay for. Go cheap with Mr. Musyimi and it will cost you in the long run. Better to hire a competent attorney in a the most high-profile and reputable firm that you can afford and which has a full staff of seasoned lawyers to help you and consult with rather than this mom-and-pop operation of Solomon Musyimi. He wears too many hats instead of focusing on one area of law, and is too proud to admit when he doesn't know certain aspects of immigration law. He should simply say so to his clients and send them to a different lawyer instead of leading them down a dead-end path. If your case is complicated, difficult or lacks precedence, I do not recommend working with Mr. Musyimi.

I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for Solomon Musyimi Firm. I was a client of theirs during an extremely fragile time in my life, while going through a very bad divorce. I endured following the trauma that led to my divorce. Because of Solomon Musyimi, I did not have to fight that battle ...alone I felt that any time I called the staff I dealt with were genuinely concerned and answered all my questions. They also took the time to follow up... Having Solomon by my side during that time was so significant, so comforting, that I still think of them almost daily. I had been deeply disillusioned by a painful experience, Solomon Musyimi became (and remain) shining examples of integrity and goodness. Not only did they expertly handle the legal process, they acted as healing figures in my life because of the incredible people that they are. I can not honestly thank them enough! It was profoundly valuable for me to feel protected and defended by these kind, strong people during a period of great vulnerability. They are my heroes.

Solomon Musyimi has been a dissapointment to say the least. Like another person mentioned he does not diligently do what is required of him to acheive the best results. His follow up is very poor. I seem to think he is just in it for the money and will do as least as possible. His efforts only se...ems to be in growing his business and not caring for his clients and their cases.

Mr. Musyimi, to put it politely has been a waste of my time and money. He does not know about immigration law and should NOT consult as an immigration lawyer. I am from Nigeriaand I'd heard some negative feedback from members of his community however I chose to stay with him because he talks a big ga...me and the price was right. I switched lawyers earlier this year because I did not like how my case was being handled. Simple mistakes like, the dates on the forms were not matching, my work history did not match the information I provided. He showed a lack of care for my paper work, and took months to actually file any of it, requesting for the same information on many an occasion. Once I switched lawyers, they mentioned that they have received quite a number of clients from Solomons office, again showing a lack of care for the Clients he already has. I advise you to stay away.
