No fine will be charged. However, a longer overstay will affect her ability to renew her visa.

Based on you immigrant petition pending, you won't be approved for any nonimmigrant visas such as an F1.

Be honest at your interview.. When you are applying based on marriage to a USC, unauthorized work shouldn't be an issue.
