Akinbayoji Ayotunde Akingbola

Bayoji Akingbola is a criminal defense and trial attorney based in the Houston, TX area. Born in Nigeria, Bayoji emigrated to America as a young child. He grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where he eventually became a naturalized US citizen, and later received his Bachelors and Master’s Degree. In 2013, Bayoji Akingbola moved to Houston, TX to attend law school at the University of Houston Law School and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a trial attorney.

During law school, Bayoji Akingbola knew early on that he wanted to be a trial attorney. He honed his trial advocacy skills by joining both the Moot Court and Mock Trial Team, where he competed in various competitions both locally and nationally. He also honed his skills by taking multiple courses focused on developing trial skills, such as Trial Advocacy, Advanced Trial Advocacy, and Evidence.

After graduating from law school in 2016, Bayoji Akingbola began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorneys Office. He started as a misdemeanor prosecutor and left 4 years later as a felony 2 prosecutor. During his time there, he tried various criminal cases, including DWIs, domestic violence, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Robbery, and Murder. He also had the opportunity to specialize in Domestic Violence cases, by working as a Family Criminal Law prosecutor for almost a year.
