Roy G. Romo

This lawyer was hired by my father in 2020 and at this time hasn’t done anything. First because state offices were closed due to covid now he doesn’t answer our phone calls or messages. He asked my dad for the full amount of almost $8000 for him to start on the case and now doesn’t even answer he is ...a scam.

I retained Mr. Roy G. Romo, Esq. for$14,000 (average TX retainer is $2,000). I trusted Mr. Romo who took advantage of my lack of knowledge of the legal system. I’m a 68 yr old female Army veteran close to retirement with little savings. Attorney Romo has represented me for 2 years without reque...sting any subpoenas or following through on the Petition or the Intent to File Suit. In spite of the contractor filing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Claim Mr. Romo continued to pursue them rather than the finance company who has the lien on my property. Instead of refunding a portion of my $14,000 Mr. Romo has requested another $10,000 to pursue the finance company. I terminated the attorney-client relationship due to Mr. Romo’s untrustworthiness, ineffectiveness, laziness and a failure to conduct meaningful investigations. Following the dissolution of the attorney-client relationship, he did not give me a copy of the case file or the financial summary therefore his conduct has hindered me from moving forward.
