Biography
Erin McNamara is a graduate of William & Mary Law School and is licensed to practice law in Texas, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
Prior to joining Thompson Coe Cousins & Irons LLP, Erin served as a law clerk for the Honorable W. Reilly Marchant and Honorable Joi J. Taylor at the Richmond Circuit Court in Richmond, Virginia. Erin also interned for the Honorable LeRoy F. Millette, Jr., at the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Honorable Rossie D. Alston, Jr. at the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
During law school, Erin was an Articles Editor on the William & Mary Law Review. Erin participated in the Elder & Disability Law Clinic, where she created plans to address clients’ legal and financial needs and drafted documents to carry out those plans. She also interned at Partnership for Children’s Rights, a non-profit law firm that advocates for disabled children under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
A native of the Northern Virginia/DC area, Erin graduated cum laude from The George Washington University. Erin also worked as a part-time employee at the United States Department of Justice during most of her undergraduate career.
