Daniel Harris Kroll

Dan Kroll continues his legal career in Gray Reed’s Houston office, leveraging his two decades of broad experience to assist clients with needs ranging from federal income tax, to partnership and corporate law matters, to structuring and business issues facing the real estate industry from the developer’s perspective, as well as high net worth individuals. 

One of Dan’s specialized niches is advising on joint venture formations and operations with pension funds and other tax exempt entities with respect to unrelated business income tax matters involving US and Canadian real estate investments by non-US persons. He also advises companies on federal income tax issues related to the investment in real estate entities by tax-exempt investors and real estate investment trusts, compensation of key employees with limited liability company and partnership interests and tax-efficient restructurings of private businesses.

A certified public accountant, Dan is an adjunct professor of law since 2006 at the University of Houston Law School, where he teaches federal income tax consequences of real estate investments and transactions to L.L.M. students.
