In addition to being detail oriented, diligent, well spoken, and providing ...me with a clear understanding of the various moving parts of family law, Cindy is also well versed in mediation, which was attractive to me in the event that I wished to come to a resolution without extreme litigation, contention, and expense. Not only does Cindy serve has a lawyer, knowledgeable about the court system, and an incredibly zealous advocate, but also as a compassionate, kind, and caring life coach, which I’ve found to be rare in other attorneys I’ve consulted with. Her straight forward and compassionate approach was exactly what I needed. She took the time to listen to my needs and check in with me every step of the way, both asking my thoughts on any next step as well as explaining the pros and cons of each potential move to me. It is doable to have a very deeply respectful and successful "conscious uncoupling", especially when you have an attorney like Cindy Hide who holds the highest standards for what is possible. I am so grateful for Cindy and her prodigious professional expertise as well as her genuine care and respect,... along with her ability to hold the big picture for everyone. We had been having a hard time finding just the right family law attorney, who was also a mediator, to handle our divorce. This was before "conscious uncoupling" became popular and no one seemed to want to deal with an uncontested divorce that required some delicate negotiations regarding the final settlement. I hired Cindy Hide to represent me in my divorce in May 2017. I expected her to guide me during my divorce proceedings. She failed to provide me with any information, guidance nor financial worksheets to help me prepare for the arduous task of preparing an Inventory and appraisement. After 10 usel...ess months of representation, Cindy Hide folded my hand. She did not order forensic analysis of the accounting my spouse provided which was manipulated. She is a weak lawyer and not capable of defending against tricky lawyers. Cindy Hide said she could not work with me if I did not agree to move out of our marital property which she mediated with the opposing counsel against my wishes. I warn you to not trust your future with this lawyer. After almost a year, I hired another divorce lawyer who provided Inventory and Appraisement worksheets and found information about businesses owned by my spouse from Texas Secretary of State. A one person law firm like Cindy Hide does not have the ability to provide expertise against a law firm with several attorneys that specialize in family law.
