Divorce is a very scary time, and while I was interviewing lawyers to represent me, I immediately felt at ease with Joel. When I filed for divorce, I did not expect the 7 years of litigation that would follow. After an 15 month custody battle that ended in a trial by jury, I was exhausted. While I won cust...ody of my child, I did not walk away feeling good about how my case was handled, or safe. When my Ex continued to come after me after the trial, I searched for a new lawyer, and was eventually referred to Joel. He was a blessing. I did not want a lawyer who wanted to beat my Ex down. He did not create drama, as my first lawyer did, which only led to more ill feelings. He practiced the law. He helped us focus on doing the right thing to protect our family . I wish I could articulate how good he was. How well he knew the law, but I simply can't. Joel presented our case with truths, and facts. He was amazing in trial. Having been in court many times, and around many lawyers during these instances, I can now identify a good lawyer. After 5 days, my family was safe, our new decree air tight, and I was awarded all my attorney fees, and appellate fees.... should he appeal. Which he did, and lost as well. I am a professional woman, who was in a bad marriage, who wanted a better life for her child. I have years of experience in divorce litigation.... as the plaintiff. If you are looking for a lawyer who has integrity, knows the law, and truly cares about you as a person, hire Joel. I have sent others to him, and all have been happy with the results. I wish I had used him as my initial lawyer. The cost would have been well worth it. Joel is not only a great lawyer, he is a great person.........
