Sophia R Johnykutty

Prior to joining the Giron Kirby Law Group, Sophia worked as an attorney with two of the nation’s largest immigration law firms practicing solely in the area of immigration law. Sophia believes in diligently helping others achieve their immigration goals in a transparent, reliable, and cost effective manner. She provides companies with long term solutions to retaining contributing employees. She is a strong advocate for immigration reform. Sophia is proud to continue her life’s passion of representing all clients with the Giron Kirby Law Group.

Sophia focuses her practice on U.S. family and business immigration law. Sophia provides advice pertaining to nonimmigrant visa petitions, including B-1 OCS for employees working in the Gulf of Mexico (Outer Continental Shelf); Treaty/Trader Investor: E; Specialty Occupations: H-1B; Temporary Non-Agricultural Workers: H-2B; and Intra-company Transferees: L-1. Sophia also advises on permanent residency applications, including PERM labor certification applications, multinational manager/executive priority workers, outstanding researchers, and National Interest Waivers. She partners with corporate clients of all sizes, from small and medium sized companies to Fortune 500 corporations, across a variety of industries including the energy and information technology sectors. Sophia also represents companies seeking exemptions from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Outer Continental Shelf manning requirements.

In addition to practicing immigration law, Sophia loves traveling and spending time with her wonderful husband, sons, and two active rescue dogs.
