Tyrone William Washington

I retained the services of Mr. Washington in the matter of my divorce which I initiated. When I interviewed Mr. Washington one of the questions I asked was whether he had the bandwidth to take on my case. He assured me that it would not be a problem. There were issues from the start. He consistently ...asked for information already provided. He relied upon the my spouse's attorney formalize orders which had changed language and information. The court allowed us a four month window to schedule mediation. He failed to set a single date. I made a number of requests for Mr. Washington to take action in response to my spouses many gross violations of our temporary orders. He never file a single motion to these requests. He was slow to respond and at times unresponsive to my calls, emails and texts for updates and actually said to me "you are not my only client" and I don't read my email". We eventually had to appear for our court date without ever mediating. I was luckily to get a judge who insisted that we take a few hours to mediate before a ruling was made. Mr. Washington was not prepared to negotiate which left me on my own working through the mediation with the opposing counsel. Mr. Washington sat there mostly watching and taking notes on the note pad that I brought with me. We got through the mediation and went before the judge who ruled the marriage ended. A few days later my spouse had counsel removed from the case because the attorney did a poor job mediating. I received a call from Mr. Washington informing me that as a result of the other attorneys dismissal we had to two months to file a response. He assured me that we would not missed the deadline. He missed the filing date and my case was dismissed after a year of working waiting. His response was "I'm sorry". My money is gone and I've had to start all over again.
