- Appointed by a Harris County court to serve as a special prosecutor in 2016 and 2017.

- Practice dedicated to criminal defense: murder and capital murder, assault, family violence, DWI, drug, theft, robbery, weapons, sex offense and juvenile cases.
- Lead defense counsel in the nationally covered David Barajas murder trial in Brazoria County, which ended in a not guilty verdict in 2014.
