Ruth A. Kollman has tried dozens of state and federal cases, both civil and criminal. She also has extensive state and federal appellate experience. She counsels attorneys throughout Texas in disciplinary rule compliance, in firms both large and small, in every area of practice. Texas courts have recognized her as an expert witness on legal ethics questions, and she has testified before the Texas Legislature regarding revisions to the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure.
She represents lawyers and judges in disciplinary proceedings and has successfully defended sanctions motions and administrative complaints for hundreds of attorneys who trust her with their futures. Ms. Kollman also represents plaintiffs and defendants in lawyer conduct and other fiduciary litigation. While the focus of her practice is legal ethics, Ms. Kollman undertakes civil rights cases of compelling public interest.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
