My Focus

My practice focuses on helping entrepreneurs and their families to build wealth and protect their assets.  Through our firm we provide advice and advocacy for business owner and their families. Our focus includes Government contracting, construction, business expansion and real estate transactions. 

I have also successfully represented business owners estate planning, divorce and white collar criminal defense.

Background and Experience

Prior to establishing my law practice, I worked for 10 years as accounting manager, director of financial operations and then chief financial officer for DIR, Inc. – a Houston based research and evaluation government contractor.  

I have been a licensed CPA since 2003 and I am heavily involved in strategic and long-range planning for various organizations.

I earned my BBA with a double major in accounting and finance from the Bauer College of Business at The University of Houston in 1998.  I earned my J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2006 while working fulltime as Chief Financial Officer at DIR, Inc.  While at South Texas, I earned awards in advocacy in both mock trial and moot court with honors in both areas, and was adjudged best advocate in regional tournament in Dallas, Texas.

Memberships and Other

I am a member of the State Bar of Texas and in the Construction Law Section.

I am a past member of the Tax and Forensic and Valuation Services sections of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  

I have previously served on the Board of Directors for Independence Heights Redevelopment Council (IHRC) as President.  IHRC is committed to the restoration and historic preservation of this historic community in Houston, Texas.

I have been married to my loving and supportive wife since 1999 and we have a a beautiful son who loves music.  I love playing the guitar and singing.
