Hailing from Southwest Atlanta, Georgia, Staci Childs is an attorney whose primary areas of law are criminal law, family law, and real estate law. She is a graduate of Hampton University, Georgia State University, and Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
While at Thurgood, Staci was awarded the Top Negotiator Award as well as 1st place in the Prestige Woods Negotiations Competition in both her 2nd and 3rd years of law school. Blessed with the gift of gab, she was able to gain student and faculty buy-in with several initiatives that still thrive at the school today.
During President Obama’s administration, Staci had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work as a Staffer at the White House for the Domestic Policy Council. In this position, she covered issues such as Borrower’s Defense, Equal Pay, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and developing education options for Veterans.
Prior to practicing law, Staci spent her time as a 4th and 5th grade English teacher through Teach for America. It was here that she grew a love for helping people become their best selves. She has expanded her efforts to help others through GirlTalk University, the non-profit organization, and podcast created to promote positive self-image within girls through intimate conversations.
She is a member of the NAACP, the Houston Young Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association, and The Downtown Group. Her legal hero is her hometown Congressman, John Lewis. She credits Mr. Lewis with instilling the fire inside of her to put others before herself.
In her free time, Staci enjoys making people laugh hysterically, traveling, shopping, and trying new foods. She doesn’t mind hopping on a flight to absorb the air of a new city while grabbing a bite to eat! Surprisingly, you might also catch Staci engaging in a freestyle battle or showcasing her sense of fashion by ripping the runway in local fashion shows!
Most of all, Staci takes pride in easing her clients’ fears and concerns. After helping teachers navigate through the process of saving their licenses, reuniting several children with their parents, and handling complicated legal issues, she is ready and willing to serve and fight for YOU until the end!

Strong trial lawyer
Strong trial lawyer who fights for her clients! I retained Staci for a child custody case. She not only won my case, but she also won attorney fees for me too. I highly recommend her services.
